About

Now that I’ve graduated with my masters degree, I’m working in the beautiful Charleston, South Carolina as an outreach specialist for a scientific organization. Even though you could do a little research on me and find my employer, the thoughts I share in this blog are MINE and do not represent my employer.

Now that I’ve said that…working as an outreach specialist is interesting. Dealing with misconceptions of researchers not valuing outreach, especially social media, challenges me daily. But as much as you might love to hear about that, I won’t be discussing that here. Instead, I’ll be documenting my time volunteering at the South Carolina Aquarium working to educate the visitors on all things ocean.
